In my 6D5N Bangkok Trip from 22nd to 27th May 2015, I stayed at 2 different hotels. One of them was Waterford Sukhumvit 50 while the other was Lit Bangkok Hotel! Just done writing about Waterford, and its time for Lit bangkok! ♥‿♥

This hotel is just conveniently located beside National Stadium BTS! Around 3min walk from the station! Whats better is that MBK mall is just opposite this hotel!!  ☆(❁‿❁)☆ I really love this hotel! As we "moved over" from Waterford Sukhumvit 50 to this hotel, we just took a cab from On Nut BTS to Lit Bangkok Hotel. The trip is around 120baht as this hotel is located inside the alley, its abit hard for the uncle to find the hotel. So normally, we will just ask the taxi uncle to stop at National Stadium BTS and we will walked over from there. But if you are carrying heavy luggages, do note that there isn't any lift or escalator from the BTS to the ground floor. So its better if you take a cab to the hotel. 

The staffs are all very friendly. They help us to carry everything to the check in counter, and then to the room the moment we arrived. Check in time for hotel is 3pm, but we checked in at around 2. Oh! They will collect 1000baht deposit when you checked in and only refundable upon check out! Please make sure you have change enough money or I think they accept credit/debit card too. The hotel is smaller than i expected, but the atmosphere is really good and nice design. 

After we had done checking in, the staff lead the way to the room! I'm really amazed! I really love the room! Its awesome. Modern design, clean and cozy environment, comfy king size bed and bathtub! I really love their bathroom! (^▽^) They offer a free 10min leg massage service too! But we never use the voucher. They provide towels, bathrobes, shampoo, body wash, moisturiser, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand soap, face towel, 2 drinking water glass bottle (they will refill them everyday, or you can even request for more),

Theres swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi and steaming room!!! OMG!!! HAHHA sorry, I'm really super excited for the jacuzzi and steaming room! HAHA. I went to the swimming pool, but its really a pity that I don't have the time to go for the jacuzzi and steaming room. o(╥﹏╥)o

In overall I really love this hotel! Few mins walk to MBK, Siam Paragon, Siam center and Siam Square! The only thing is that its inside an alley, its hard to find the hotel if you don't know where is it. But the room, the pool and the jacuzzi can cover everything HAHA!! Oh, the hotel staff will call a cab for you to the airport if you need it!

***To go to the shopping area, from the hotel exit, turn right and walk straight to the main road. Then, turn left to Siam Paragon/ Siam Center or go opposite through the BTS staircase to link to MBK Mall. You can take the same stairs to link to MBK and Siam Paragon area.

Honestly speaking, I really think that Bangkok train station is abit too complicated for me hahahah! Maybe because my sense of direction is really bad. Theres 4 main train line in BKK, ARL Airport Rail Link, MRT Metro Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line, BTS Skytrain Silom Line and BTS Skytrain Sukhumvit Line.

Theres 3 type of train services in the airport. SA City Line, Makkasan Express Line and Phaya Thai Express Line.

Suvarnabhumi Airport Express-Makkasan (Makkasan Express Line):

• Travel directly to Makkasan/ Suvarnabhumi Airport without stopping (Non-stop service)
• 15min ride
• Round trip ticket: 150 baht (SGD 6.10)
• Single journey ticket: 90 baht (SGD 3.70)

Suvarnabhumi Airport Express - Phaya Thai (Phaya Thai Express Line):

• Travel directly to Phaya Thai/ Suvarnabhumi Airport without stopping (Non-stop service)
• 17min ride
• Round trip ticket: 150 baht
• Single journey ticket: 90 baht

SA City Line: 

• Service line between 6 stations
• Travel time from first to last: 30mins
• Max fare: 45 baht (SGD 1.90)

Its complicated because you can't change from one line to another within the train station. You need to tap out, walk for a few mins to reach the other line. For example, from Suvarnabhumi Airport Station (ARL) to Siam BTS station, you will have to first alight at Phaya Thai station (ARL), then tap out and walk over to Phaya Thai BTS line to travel to Siam BTS. But don't worry, there will be a signboard at every interchange to guide you the road from one station to another.

The maximum fare for each trip is 45Baht. From Suvarnabhumi Airport to Phaya Thai, it cost us 45baht per person. From Suvarnabhumi Airport to Makkansan station, it cost about 35 baht. From Siam BTS (Siam paragon/Siam Center) to Mo Chit BTS (Chatuchak weekend market), the fare is around 42 baht (SGD 1.70).

If you want to buy a one day pass which allow you to have unlimited ride for the day, do note that it only applies to their own line. Only the 2 green line, BTS Silom and BTS Sukhumvit are using the same day pass. For MRT (the blue line), you will need to buy a separate day pass. Of course, if you need to travel between different lines, its not worth to buy 2 different day pass. The day pass for BTS is 130baht (SGD 5.30), while the day pass for MRT is 120baht (SGD 4.90). There is also a 3 day pass for MRT which cost you 230 baht (SGD 9.30) per card. As for BTS, I think there isn't any 3 days pass. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks! :) Based on my experience, I normally wont spend more than 130baht a day using the single trip card.

YAYYY , I'm finally going over to Bangkok after a year! (▰˘◡˘▰)      ≧◡≦ Gonna eat like mad there. While going through the list of hotels/resorts, I saw this Waterford Sukhumvit 50 (Something like a resort style place)  through expedia. The thing that caught my attention is that this resort is super cheap and theres a outdoor pool for all the guest! I actually saw this resort last year, but I think its abit too from the city and the price is abit too cheap to convince me that I can have a comfortable stay over there. I ended up staying at Amber Boutique Silom last year. Its an AWESOME HOTEL. Will do a review about that some other days.

After reading some of the review (not much bad reviews) this year, without much hesitation, I went to book a 3 nights stay with them haha. For 3 nights, I booked at a price of SGD 32 per night and a total of $126 (adding all the taxes and service charge) for a room! Really super cheap. The price tends to change everyday, it can go to as low as $20+ or maximum maybe around $30+.

But I actually start to regret my impulsive decision after reading more comments. Theres people commenting that staying there = feeding the mosquito and some other pretty bad comments like their shampoo/body wash smells like insect repellents, bathroom stinks and all. But oh well I had already booked it. I am really damn paranoid before I reach that place HAHA.

DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORT (Colour shown is the colour of the respective line):
This hotel/resort is located near On Nut BTS, around 9 stations away from Siam BTS (Siam paragon/Siam Center). Its really abit hard to find this place. We took Airport Railing (ARL) from Suvarnabhumi Airport and alight at Makkasan Station (Cost us 31 or 35 baht per person and around 20min ride). Here is the troublesome part. As in Bangkok, all BTS, MRT and Airport Railink are all separated. You have to tap in and out when you want to make a transfer. So we have to tap out from Makkasan station and walk towards Phetchaburi MRT station and buy a tickets to Sukhumvit MRT(1 station away) which cost us I think 10baht per person. When we reach Sukhumvit station, we have to tap out again and walk to Asok BTS station to finally take the BTS to On Nut BTS. o(╥﹏╥)o   The fare from Asok to On nut is about 31baht per person. So the total fare from the airport will be 76baht per person. Its definitely better to take a cab if you have more than 2 person to save the trouble. But we gave up at Asok BTS HAHA. ┐(‘～`；)┌ We just took a cab there since its not walkable from On Nut BTS as it will takes around 20-30min walk. But don't worry, they provide free Tuk Tuk service from the resort to BTS. As we are not very sure where the Tuk tuk is, we will just cab from Asok. This place is really abit "Ulu". The cab uncle also don't really know where is it and I'm not sure if he is cheating our money or what, he actually goes a very big round. And he just alight us at some random nearby place. This ride actually cost us 130baht.  Lucky that we are able to saw a sign that can direct us to Waterford Sukhumvit 50 (but still need to walk quite far away from main road). When we are walking halfway, a staff saw us and ride us back to the resort. Lucky us ♥‿♥

FINALLY REACH THE HOTEL/RESORT. The check in time is actually 2pm, but we reach at 8+ due to our early flight haha. I thought they will let us wait till 2, but they just let us check in immediately without any extra charge! They are really nice and friendly!

We booked the Superior Room. The room is decent, with a dining area, fridge, microwave, bathroom and separate bedroom.

They will provide you towel, shampoo and body wash, but not toothbrush and toothpaste. So remember to bring yours. They also provide 2 bottle of water everyday! They will make up the room everyday, change the towel, refill the shampoo and body wash, but the bedsheet remained unchanged. There are stains on the bed sheet and towel. But not serious. Actually its not as bad as what I thought it will be.

As I mentioned just now, they provide free Tuk Tuk service from the resort to On Nut BTS. Theres a small mall, Tesco Lotus over there too! You can get your groceries over there. Or you can travel to Asok BTS (5 stations away, 31baht) We waited for about 10-20min for a tuk tuk ride, depending on you luck. They may move off immediately if the number of guest on tuk tuk is full. Do note that some guests will actually cut your queue when you are waiting for the tuk tuk back to the hotel from the BTS as there isn't any specific queue line. Theres a time where we waited for 15mins and the tuk tuk finally arrived, some other people just rushed to the tuk tuk even though they just came. We had no choice but to wait for another 15min. You can choose to walk, not sure how long will it takes. Maybe around 20-30min?
